Drew Shaw

          IMPACT DIRECTOR       

Shaw is currently the Director of Government Relations at Grand Canyon University, working in the Office of the President.  Formerly at Belmont University, she worked with coaches, administrators, and athletes advising on policy, investigations, and training initiatives focusing on Title IX and employment agreements. Prior to joining the Belmont faculty as an Assistant Professor of Sport Administration, she taught International Sports Law and Sports Ethics at the University of Urbino (Italy) School of Law and Valparaiso University, respectively, and in the MSA program at Northwestern University. As a graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law, she was a published member of the Law Review. 

Dana is a versatile professional who effectively advises businesses, institutions, and organizations as well as administrators, coaches, and other industry professionals in areas of professional development, crisis management, policy and procedure, training initiatives, and strategic planning. Instructs and educates both undergraduate and graduate students in sport business courses with an emphasis on legal concepts.

 

Drew Shaw was a highly honored basketball athlete at the prep and collegiate levels. A 1990 Indiana All-Star, Drew was a two-time Mid-American Conference Player of the Year and also played professionally in Italy. Drew Shaw has been inducted into the MAC Hall of Fame as well as the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
